The "Send To" feature is missing

First of all, you need to check that the file "SendTo" exists or not? To check for the "Send To", first allow Windows to display hidden folders.

The folder "Send To" should be visible in C: \ Documents and Settings \ User \ SendTo.

If it does not,
  1. Create this folder.
  2. Test if the command "Send to" now appears in the menu (right-click).
If the file is present but the command does not respond, proceed as follow:

Modify the registry
This simple manipulation allows to add the necessary key in the registry.
  1. Create a text document (with Notepad for example)
  2. Copy / paste the text below:
  3. Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
    • [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\AllFilesystemObjects\shellex]
    • [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\AllFilesystemObjects\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers]
    • [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\AllFilesystemObjects\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\Copy To] @="{C2FBB630-2971-11D1-A18C-00C04FD75D13}"
    • [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\AllFilesystemObjects\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\Move To] @="{C2FBB631-2971-11D1-A18C-00C04FD75D13}"
    • [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\AllFilesystemObjects\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\Send To] @="{7BA4C740-9E81-11CF-99D3-00AA004AE837}"
  4. Save this document and rename it to "menu.reg" (any name is possible but the. Reg file is required).
  5. Double-clicking on it.
  6. Restart the PC.
Now, in a right-click on a file (or folder), the menu will offer options, "Send To", "Copy" and "Move."
